Send them a little love note!
My favourite trick to get the kids through lunch with a smile, a little love note, or simple smiley face drawn on a napkin and stuck into that lunch box without their knowledge. Now that I think about it, those notes are as much for me as they are for them. When my girls are eating lunch at school with their friends, their teachers, dealing with social stress and all that life is throwing at them….they know I’m right there with them, cheering them on.... Wrap it up!
Wrap their favourite sandwich meat and cheeses up in a tortilla shell, and keep it all together with toothpicks! (I quickly learned my youngest likes to eat her tortilla roll-ups with her toothpicks, so I cut up that tortilla sushi style! This is now a lunch time fave.)... Read More
